Vantage Group, Inc., established in 1984, is a private, non-profit, 501 © (3) organization providing support to individuals with developmental disabilities in community based residential programs, employment and day support services. Individuals served by the Vantage residential program live in a variety of circumstances including living alone, living in homes of four to six people, with their families, or in apartments shared by one or two roommates. Staffing and other supports vary, and reflect the unique and diverse needs of each individual. Regardless of whether the support need is casual, intensive, or in-between, the philosophy of Vantage is to assist those served by the organization to access their community, live as independently as they are able, and enjoy a life which they find rich and fulfilling.
The Board of Directors is comprised of representatives of family members of program participants, and professionals from the local community. A staff of full-time, part-time and per diem workers provides support to individuals served by the program. Consultants such as registered nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, psychologists, social workers and others contract with Vantage to meet individualized needs of program participants. Medical needs are met through community physicians and health care providers of the individual’s choice.
Vantage Group strives to continually refine and improve services, and to adapt to the changing needs of the individuals it serves. Through the value of a person centered approach to service delivery and the vehicles of teamwork, networking and collaboration, Vantage continues to be a forerunner in assisting individuals to receive the supports they require to maintain healthy, productive, and fulfilling lives in their homes and in the communities where they live and work.
