VHB is seeking several temporary part-time field crew team members for a survey-taking project this April in New Haven, Connecticut. This temporary work is on weekdays and includes full day (12-16 hour) shifts. Staff will be paid $15 per hour. Successful candidates will also be considered for other field projects.

VHB's passionate professionals include engineers, scientists, planners, and designers who partner with public and private clients in the transportation, real estate, institutional, and energy industries, as well as federal, state, and local governments.

Together, we work to improve mobility, enhance communities and economic vitality, and balance development and infrastructure needs with environmental stewardship.

•Interviewing bus passengers about their travel onboard public transit buses in New Haven, Connecticut
•Recording passenger responses on handheld tablets

Skills & Abilities
•Must be personable, reliable, and outgoing
•Must have good verbal communication skills (being bilingual in English and Spanish is a strong plus)
•Ability to provide own transportation to project sites (most shifts will begin at the New Haven Green)
•Familiarity working with a tablet is a plus, although not required, as training will be provided

•The survey will occur over several weeks in April 2018. You must be available for work for the entire day
•Be available the last week of March for paid training prior to the start of the project
•Ability to be on foot for a 12-to-16-hour shift on a bus (periodic breaks will be provided)
