Roost - Team Member
Roost is a new fast casual chicken-focused restaurant fixed on bringing fresh, tasty, and convenient options to the community. Ingredients are prepared every morning for consumption by the essential contingent of our loyal guests. We strive to provide a fun, nurturing, and productive environment for our employees to grow just as we do.
If you are an upbeat, driven person open to learning our ways and working in a team atmosphere, whether or not you have any prior restaurant experience, this job is for you.
A team member at Roost could be a cashier, a prep worker, a dishwasher, a cook; all of these jobs are essential to make our restaurant run like a well-oiled machine. Everyone is a "team member" because we have such a team driven atmosphere which may allow you to work in one role or in a number of different positions - we'll figure out where you best fit on the team. Both full and part-time positions are available for these roles and hours are flexible. Regardless of your role on a given day you are responsible for making sure your station is operating smoothly. You are going to be taking care of our guests on a daily basis and we believe that is one of the most important things for you to remember on your job each day.
Care about everything! Our guests, our ingredients, our atmosphere, everything is important and we should care about everything. All the while we want you to learn and grow with us as we cook tasty food for everyone. At Roost you will be trained on site as a cook, cashier, prep worker, or another team position and increase your skill set, responsibility, and pay as you learn new positions. We expect you to work hard, have fun, and buy into the Roost culture.
Each position has a specific set of responsibilities but more generally they include:
● POS operation, fulfilling drink orders, packaging and food running
● Maintain service & dining areas
● Develop and refine your skills on the job
● Cross training into more or all the positions and stations
● Cook, clean, food prep, and ingredient management
● Food production during peak volume meal periods
Job Requirements & Desired Traits
We expect you to be a positive person every day. Being able to learn, stay motivated, and adapt is essential for your growth with us. Again, we want you to care about everything you do here especially as it pertains to our guests. That's a mindset you need to have to work on our team.
You must be at least 16 years old of course and it always helps to have open or flexible availability and previous experience in the restaurant or general hospitality industry.
