Rose of Sharon (Hibiscus Syriacus) isn't a rose, but it's large flat blossoms and nectar attract hummingbirds and tiny insects that hummers also eat. Blooms late spring/early summer through early fall.
These are hardy plants and safe to transplant almost anytime of year.
Young plants will mature to around 12+ feet tall and about 5-6+ feet wide.
My plants bloom white (w/red centers) or purple flowers.
They can also be easily pruned into a tree form if you prefer or buy several to make a great looking hedge.
