Citizens Campaign for the Environment is now hiring community organizers to join our campaign staff. This is an entry-level position and a great place to get your foot in the nonprofit and political field. We have a 30-year history of protecting air land and water quality in the region. Our success is because we have been able to gain over 85,000 supporting members in NY and CT. We are currently seeking new talent to help us continue to build a healthy and sustainable environment for our planet.


CCE is currently fighting to keep CT from being tied to fossil fuels for the next 40 plus years while also pushing to make our state a leader in renewable energy. For more information on our campaigns please visit our website,


Responsibilities: The responsibilities of a community organizer are to help educate and empower community members around the state to help make a change in environmental policy at a local state and federal level. The main goal is to identify supporters of the campaigns and organize petition signatures, collect letters to elected officials and donations. All organizers must complete our paid 10-day training.


Qualifications: Ideal candidate will have strong verbal communication skills, a passion for environmental issues, and the desire to make a change. Previous campaign or public relations experience is a plus.
