Weston & Sampson CMR is seeking a Well & Pump Project Manager. This individual will be responsible for Customer relations/selling, estimating, planning, organizing, and coordinating the activities of the field crews to complete water supply well related projects including well drilling, well & pump rehabilitation and well pumping equipment sales. The Project Manager will travel extensively throughout New England with some overnights as appropriate.
What you’ll do:
•Create/maintain Customer relationships to gain/retain trust with goal of maximizing sales revenues.
•Review & understand both drilling and well rehabilitation specifications.
•Attend pre-bid / site meetings to gain understanding of project scope and identify potential site related issues
•Prepare job cost estimates, detailed written proposals; project specific PDFs for awarded project, project work orders for crews, and reports detailing service provided upon completion of field activities.
•Assist in coordinating crew scheduling.
•Coordinate timely purchase and delivery of materials (pump parts, chemicals, screens, etc.…)
•Daily contact with Crew Foreman to support field activities and monitor project schedule.
•Monitor and report on job costs to keep project on budget.
•Maintain internal relationships/provide support to aid WSE on well, pump and other groundwater related projects.
•Work with CMR personnel to assist with projects with manpower and/or equipment as needed.
•Occasionally assist field personnel with hands-on construction work as needed during training and as required for timely project completion. (materials pick up & delivery, minor field work)
•Provide recommendations for improvements in equipment and procedures that could be useful on future work
•Advance professionally by attending at appropriate lectures, seminars, short courses and training events.
What you’ll bring:
•Preferred college diploma or equivalent in Engineering or Environmental Sciences.
•Preferred minimum 3 years in a water related industry with progressive responsibilities.
•Experience with groundwater supply wells and various types of pumping equipment.
•Experience managing field personnel and subcontractors a must.
•Knowledge of applicable industry related codes/regulations.
•Proficient with personal computer and software (MS Office, Excel, Word, Project).
•Must have demonstrated budgetary and management skills, the ability to meet deadlines.
•Must be able to drive a minimum of 4 hours a day.
•Must have or obtain 10-hour OSHA certification.
•Valid driver’s license with good driving record for travel in New England
•Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and must be able to climb at ladder, minimum of 15 feet.
