I have a lot of starter scobies to give away. SCOBY is short for Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria and Yeast

HOW TO MAKE KOMBUCHA

Make tea with 3.75 quarts of water, 8 tea bags, and a cup of sugar. That's it! After its cooled pour it into a clean glass gallon container with 2 cups of maure kombucha and a SCOBY. Let it sit for about 4 weeks (out of direct sunlight) covered with a couple coffee filters and elastic bands (masking tape around the edges during the summer to protect it from fruit flies).

Optional Second Fermentation: if you want flavor and more fizz, after 4 weeks pour some into other containers 1/4-1/3 full, add sliced fruit, or minced ginger and sweet tea, fruit juice or whatever (lots of ideas on google) till the container is half full. Close the lid tight as it makes its own carbonation. ( 3 days to a week). I like large plastic apple juice bottles as I can feel when they are hard. Tho glass is better if you pay attention cuz they hold more carbonation. but they do burst too.

When it's done.. Put it in the fridge to slow down the yeast. serve cold. I will help you with the process if you need support.

any glass jar or vase with a large opening will work.
