The food scraps and waste they consume gets digested and transformed into worm castings, which are 7 times richer in phosphates, 5 times richer in nitrogen, and 11 times richer in potash than average lawn soil.
They give on food scraps and use a diverse array of materials as bedding: shredded cardboard, leaves, etc.
