This black OEM cargo or luggage area cover came out of a 2012 Mini Countryman and is officially referred to as the parcel shelf (UK/Official Term) or luggage compartment cover. The rigid cover obscures items in the boot (trunk) from view. It can be removed to increase vertical storage space, and is also sometimes referred to as a cargo tray cover. The OEM part should fit Mini Countryman model years 2011 - 2016. Key details about this component:

1.) It covers the trunk area to hide luggage or items.
2.) It can be removed by pressing a button on the side and sliding it out.
3.) It works in conjunction with the rear seat "cargo load position" to maximize space.
