Seeking a calm, compassionate, and professional caregiver/homemaker that would enjoy working in a quiet and friendly home. Located in the lovely East Rock neighborhood of New Haven.
Client is a pleasant, smart, and funny young adult woman who is bedbound due to severely physically disabling chronic illness. Needs assistance with personal care and household management tasks including, but not limited to: assistance feeding, taking meds, toileting, bathing, preparing food, and light house cleaning. No specific past experience is required, but the candidate should be:
- Calm, quiet, and professional
- Able to work in dim lighting
- LBGTQ friendly
- Competent problem-solver and communicator
Client is severely immunocompromised and susceptible to communicable disease. For this reason, the candidate must be willing and able to wear an N95 face mask while at work, and a candidate that does not have young children at home is highly preferred. This position would be ideal for someone that is immunocompromised themselves and would benefit from working in an environment with very low infection risks.
Hours would ideally be from 11am - 5pm Tuesday-Friday, but there is significant room for flexibility for the right candidate. Hourly rate is $23 an hour, with start date in beginning of March.
