CDL Delivery Driver - Sub driver
BayOne Solutions Inc. is looking for CDL Delivery Drivers to fill in for other drivers from companies we contract with.. Candidates must have at least a Class B CDL with Airbrake, Tanker and Hazmat endorsements. Candidates must be highly safety conscious, detail oriented and well organized in order to ensure the highest level of safety and performance, while meeting and exceeding the expectations of our customers.

Job Description CDL "Float" Driver is a highly adaptable, safety-conscious commercial driver who fills in for absent route drivers, covers emergency relief, or provides supplemental capacity during busy periods. They operate various commercial motor vehicles (CMVs), requiring a clean record and deep knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Core Responsibilities
Emergency & Route Coverage: Relieve primary drivers on specific routes, slip-seat in different trucks, and serve as backup during vacations or medical leaves.
Vehicle Operation: Drive trucks such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, or tankers across varying distances, utilizing specialized knowledge of manual transmissions (including floating gears).
Inspections: Complete mandatory DOT pre-trip, mid-trip, and post-trip inspections to report safety or mechanical issues.
Compliance: Maintain precise electronic logging device (ELD) records, hours-of-service (HOS) logs, and required permits.
Load Security: Ensure cargo, equipment, or hazardous materials are correctly loaded, strapped, and chained according to safety rules.
Communication: Coordinate seamlessly with dispatchers, fleet managers, and warehouse personnel to adapt to new routes on short notice.
Requirements & Qualifications
License: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with necessary endorsements (Class A or B, Hazmat, Tanker, etc., depending on the fleet).
Experience: Typically 1–3 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
Safety Record: Clean motor vehicle record (MVR) with zero major moving violations in the past 3 years.
Physical Demands: Ability to sit for long periods, lift heavy cargo (up to 40-80 lbs), and repeatedly enter/exit the cab in all weather conditions.
Flexibility: High tolerance for shifting schedules, changing routes, and on-call environment
